Robots Invaded South Florida!

The FIRST Robotics Competition 2019 was here and was definitely epic!

More than 3,000 students visited the Palm Beach Convention Center to take part in the FIRST® DEEP SPACE game.

FIRST Robotics Competition is the ultimate Sport for the Mind TM, where imagination and innovation come together! By combining the excitement of sport and beauty of art with the rigors of science and technology, teams of high school students (ages 14 – 18/grades 9 – 12) are challenged to design a team “brand,” hone teamwork skills, and build and program robots to perform tasks against a field of competitors.

Teams work together to build, program and test robots with the guidance of adult mentors. Teams then compete with their robots as family and friends cheer from the stands at more than 160 events worldwide – all leading up to the 2019 FIRST Championship, April 17th in Houston, TX and April 24th in Detroit, MI.

Want to get involved?

  • Volunteer – we need more than 150 volunteers to make this game a reality. Come have some fun with us and at the same time help students excited about science, technology… ROBOTICS!
  • Mentor a Team – South Florida teams are always looking for the few, the proud, the mentors who can teach them and guide them. It doesn’t matter that you have never built a robot in your life – they need help with marketing, sales, accounting, coding, electronics, media, video editing… you name it. In fact, if you are currently a hard-working adult, you probably have a skill that is needed for the success of their team.
  • Sponsor – Hosting 50+ teams require not only human capital, but also just plain capital. Help us IGNITE OUR FUTURE by supporting this wonderful sport of the mind!

If you have any questions about our regional event, please contact us.
